Hello, I'm Alice. Recently, my laptop having internet connection problem. I cannot connect to any network and it shows there is no available network. But my phone is able to connect network. The troubleshoot option shows that the intel dual band wireless ac 3165 adapter is experiencing driver of hardware related problems. How can I solve this problem?

Code 10 on Intel Wireless Ac 9560
Got an Acer Nitro 5 a few days ago. Worked perfectly fine that night. Next day wifi would occasionally cut out. Today the wireless adapter will only give me a code 10 error, indicating a driver/hardware failure. Tried all solutions I could find as far as the drivers go with no luck. I think the adapter may have come loose inside the laptop. I want to make sure I'm not missing some "duh" solution before I open this up, or if I'm better of taking it to a shop to have a guy do it for me.
Issue with AC-7260
I have been experiencing issues the network adapter for about a week now, this is the issue: Connection stops, if I check my available connections only the network Im connected to at the moment appears, all the other ones disappear. In addition, my computer randomly begins to freeze once or twice (this usually occurs just as I lose connection. If I wait a couple seconds, it goes from showing the connected icon to the warning icon(connected to the network, yet not connected to the internet). If I go to the settings and restart the wifi, it turns off and randomly turns itself back and no connections appear at all. The only way to fix this momentarily is to go the adapter settings, disable the device, enable it again and it works for another 30 minutes to an hour for this to occur again.
I have reformatted my computer and installed new drivers for the adapter, yet this issue prevails. Any idea what could be causing this?
AC 7260 Wireless Card Fails with Windows 10 2017 Fall Creator's Update (KB4054517)
I am having issues where my wireless card fails, often into an irrecoverable state. I am using an AC 7260 card in a Lenovo Y50-70, running Windows 10. I have tracked the issue to a specific Windows update and have found a viable short-term workaround. My intent is to post the information here, both for others to benefit from, and for Intel to be made aware of the issue, as this will require a driver fix in the long term.
SYMPTOMS
My symptoms are pretty much identical to other similarly-reported issues with previous updates. An excellent example can be found here: AC7260 crashes sporadically since Windows 10 Anniversary update
A brief summary:
-Network connectivity would sporadically fail. Sometimes, it would recover on its own after a moment.
-When the network card could not recover, it would hang in a "stalled" state. At this point, the wireless claims to be connected, but without internet connectivity.
-In the stalled state, no more networks are visible (even though many are usually accessible and still functioning with my other devices).
-In the stalled state, attempting to access the AC7260 from the Device Manager would often fail, leaving to a non-responsive window.
-In the stalled state, powering down or rebooting would fail - the computer would initiate the process, but would simply freeze on a blanks screen before completing the shutdown or reboot procedure. A forced manual power down would be necessary.
-After a forced manual powerdown, the wireless card would function normally again, until failing later - usually within 24 hours, sometimes within 10 minutes.
When these symptoms present themselves, there would be similar corresponding Events in the Windows Event Log, identical to those reported in this thread: Windows 10 Creators Update 7260 AC WIFI Dropping
Example event text:
-EXAMPLE EVENT ONE
"The description for Event ID 5032 from source NETwNb64 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
\Device\NDMP2
Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260
The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file"
-EXAMPLE EVENT TWO
"WLAN AutoConfig detected limited connectivity, attempting automatic recovery.
Recovery Type: 4
Error Code: 0x0
Trigger Reason: 12
IP Family: 4"
-EXAMPLE EVENT THREE
"The network interface "Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260" has begun resetting. There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets. Reason: The network driver requested that it be reset. This network interface has reset 1 time(s) since it was last initialized."
Investigation Steps
I have been dealing with this issue for a few months now. Combing through my system's event logs, I found the above events began occurring on Dec 13, 2017. This corresponds to the date of a Windows Update installed on my computer, "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4054517)". I believe this is the 2017 Fall Creator's Update. Unlike other Windows Updates, this one CANNOT be uninstalled or removed.
My BIOS is up to date.
I tested multiple drivers to see if the issue could be resolved. My default AC7260 driver is 18.12.0.3 (7/16/2015). This driver did not work.
The latest driver provided by Intel is 18.33.11.2 (10/31/2017). This driver did not work.
The latest driver provided by Lenovo is 18.12.0.3 (7/27/2016). This driver did not work.
There is a Microsoft driver, 17.15.0.5 (2/22/2015). This driver DOES work.
I also tried installing the Intel PROSet wireless software package (latest version 20.30.1). This package (and the accompanying driver, 18.12.0.3) did not work.
Short Term Solution
As stated above, the driver from 2/22/2015 (version 17.15.0.5) works without issues, for several weeks now. I also have to manually prevent Windows Update from automatically updating drivers - otherwise, the only working driver I have will be replaced with a later, broken version. This should work for others in the same situation as myself.
Long Term Solution
In the long-term, Intel will need to release a new version of their drivers which is compatible with Windows Update KB4054517. I have functional internet in the short-term - however, that's with a set of drivers that is now three years out of date, which is not an acceptable long-term solution. My hope is that the information provided here will allow them to perform their own investigation so that such a fix can be developed and released.
I would appreciate it if a rep from Intel could reply to this and confirm that their software developers have been informed of this issue, provided with the above information, and are now working on a fix.

Windows 1803 Wireless-AC 8265 wifi problem
I installed the new 1803 windows version. However, after a while, my internet card (Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265) started to disappear. The taskbar icon became a red x, there was no longer a wifi tab in the network and internet settings and it had completely disappeared from the device manager and adaptor options. I have tried reinstalling the latest drivers (intel pro set wifi 20.60.0.0, 20.70.0.0 and 20.80.0.0) and moving the network card to a different PCI slot and resetting windows. Only fully reinstalling windows fixes the problem but the problem occurs again after a week or so of use. I have tried using a couple different usb wifi adaptors and one of them had the same problem as the original network card and one that allowed me to use the internet.I have searched online for a solution with a couple of people having similar issues but with no solution. Can anyone help with this issue?
Thanks,
Daniel
Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9560 connectivity issue
Story of the issue first:
On 30 May I started experiencing issues trying to use my 5g or 2.4g network at work. The network adapter would restart whenever I tried to connect to 5g, and occasionally stopped working when I used 2.4g. At the same time, I had no problem using my home internet or connecting via mobile hotspot. I had an updated driver at that time and digging for solutions on the Internet I tried many things to resolve the issue, finally resolving it about a week later by downgrading the network adapter driver to ver. 20.10.*.* as well as customly adjusting a few properties under the Advanced tab, believing that the main contributor to the solution was switching the Roaming Aggressiveness to Lowest, while higher settings caused it to "aggressively" jump between 2.4g and 5g. That worked for me and I stopped encountering this issue for a few months.. until it happened again on 19 November.
The issue is back, not sure what caused it to return. I was forced to upgrade my network adapter driver but that didn't help. Using Intel-recommended settings for 802.11ac Connectivity or my personal favourite settings didn't help. Working on 2.4g network I occasionally get the following logs in the Event Viewer, and my Internet connection cuts off:
- Event ID 5000: `Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9560 : Has encountered a conflict in resources and could not load.`
- Event ID 5002: `Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9560 : Has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly.`
- Event ID 5005: `Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9560 : Has encountered an internal error and has failed.`
- Event ID 10400: `The network interface "Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9560" has begun resetting. There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets. Reason: The network driver requested that it be reset. This network interface has reset 3 time(s) since it was last initialized.`
Trying to connect to 5g, it looks as if it has connected to the Internet for a short while, before cutting off the connection and resetting the whole network adapter. Strangely enough the Event Viewer doesn't have much to say, only displaying:
- Event ID 6062: `6062 - Lso was triggered`
I am using Windows 10 on a Metabox Prime-S PA70EP-G laptop, i7-8750H CPU.
Attaching a system information report, please let me know of a solution or any additional information you require.
Cheers!
intel 7260ac disconnects
For the past few weeks i've had to deal with alot of disconnects, as in : you see a yellow exclamation mark at the wifi logo thing, and essentially there is no data traffic possible anymore.
At first i thought it was the router, a Ziggo connect box router/modem, as the modem itself is loosestanding and my son dropped it twice right on the box that has the actual connection in it.
As it does report t3 "errors" meaning static on the line essentially.
The physical connection didnt look too good either, so they came, fixed that part of it.. but that just made things worse, alot worse.
I've tried everything in the past few weeks bios update, old drivers, new drivers, drivers only, drivers from dell (its an alienware rig) reinstalling the device entirely, setting roaming agressiveness to lowest etc. etc.
Nothing works or at best temporarily for a day or some hours.
I notice i can download things, but as soon as thats done or i try to open a website during or right after, the connection gets "stuck again".
I've tried twice now, to simply reset the network settings as windows 10 provides that option.
THAT seemed to work at first, untill the next day (which is now) right after i booted up, seemed fine.. i do a speedtest and blammo, stuck again right after..
I've done one total reset again before i came here as a last resort, and again it seems to hold up fine like its the solution to the problem, but i seriously doubt it lol.
I dont understand why its not working right, it used to work flawlessly. (which is going to contradict the last part here )
Also i cant understand why people dont get free replacements for this incredible bad device, even without mentioning ac 7260, google is flooded with this 1 very specific device over and over again.
Anyway, i dont know if its windows 10 messing up, which is possible i guess.
Or some type of sudden incompatibility.. if i cant find the solution here, im going to buy a totally different wifi adapter and see if that helps. (as the very very last resort would be a router replacement.. which is not easy with Ziggo)
PS : The added file is in Dutch, cant quite figure out how to get that in english.
Wireless AC 8260 Windows 10 v1803
Hello.
I have an Asus Zenbook Flip (UX360UAK), with Windows 10 installed. After updating to version 1803, the wireless network became very bad and instable. I see only part of the networks available, and hardly can connect to them. Nevertheless, the drivers of the device (Intel AC 8260) are up to date. I have the latest driver installed for the device: 20.70.3.3 (dated 3/9/2018).
What have I done already:
- update of the BIOS
- I ran the intel driver & support assistant
- I remove the WAN miniports in the device manager (on request of Asus technical service)
- I remove the driver for the wireless device and went back to version 19 (on request of Asus technical service)
The notebook is still in waranty, but I prefer to check for solutions myself, because if I will return the notebook, I need to wait long time to get it back.
Best regards
Rudy

I have no wifi in my network&internet settings.
Hi I have bought an Intel Core i7-6700 a year ago. I have never been able to get a wifi option. I have tried the sticks and plug ins for wireless internet but nothing seems to work. It boots me off all the time. The only way right now I can access the internet is with a Ethernet cord. This is now getting to be an issue due to not being able to move my computer at all. Is there something I'm missing or just don't know about getting wifi to work? Any help would be appreciated. I'm not all that great with computers but I have been looking almost everyday for some sort of answer to this question and am not having any luck.
Thank you
Does Intel Wireless AC 9260 support AP-mode?
I'm going to build a Linux Server acting as WiFi Access Point too.
So I need a WiFi adapter that can run with AP-Mode (just as Ad-hoc or master mode).
Is anything known about the features of the proposed Linux driver (iwlwifi) or does Intel provide an own Linux driver?
Error Code 10 Intel Wireless ac 9560
Hi,
So I've just bought a new pc, an MSI GP73 Leopard 8RF-644FR, received it yesterday and after 1 or 2h while I was installing games on the pc, the wifi disappeared, so I checked the Wireless adapter (Intel Wireless ac 9560) and got the code 10 error.
The thing is, the exact same thing happened on my previous pc, also an MSI but this one had a Killer Wireless-n/a/ac 1525 Wireless Network Adapter, and I succeeded to correct the problem by uninstalling the Killer Wireless driver and installing an other version.
Apparently the Killer supportfigured that it was a Windows update (Windows version 1803, my new pc is also working on this version) that messed up with the wireless adapter drivers causing it to produce a code 10 error, so using an other driver that doesn't get affected by the 1803 windows version got the wireless adapter working again and has been working perfectly since then.
Here is the complete guide provided by the Killer support :
Killer Networking Knowledge Base | Killer Ethernet Driver - Tag: code 10
Used solution 1 and followed this guide to clean installing to the most recent version of the Killer Control Center and device drivers Knowledge Base - Clean Install Killer Control Center ** This Solves Many Killer Control Center Issues! Try This First If…
So now back to my new pc.
As I did not found how to do the same thing with Intel wireless ac 9560, I did what has been suggested on reddit or on an other thread of this forum, by going in the BIOS after a reboot, "load optimized defaults" with f9, save with f10 and reboot. It worked, but not for long, today the wifi disappeared again while I was playing Destiny 2, code 10 again, so I did the BIOS thing and it works for now, but I'm afraid that the problem will happen again and that the BIOS solution is just a temporary solution.
So I'm wondering if there is a similar existing solution to the one provided by the Killer support or an other solution to this problem ?
Best regards,
Erwhin.
