Download the Latest Driver for Your Intel® Wireless Adapter not up to date

$

It appears that drivers for many cards updated on November 6, and the Download the Latest Driver for Your Intel® Wireless Adapter has not been updated to reflect the changes.

I will also take a moment to comment on the lack of availability of release notes for errata resolved in the update, an on going problem.

It's difficult to take Intel seriously in the enterprise space if open and resolved errata are not publicly addressed for each release.

intel(r) dual band wireless-n 7620 having a meltdown and frequently disconnecting.

So I've had this problem for about a month and to be honest I made the mistake of tolerating it, but now I'm playing more internet intensive games and I can't allow myself to disconnect anymore.

On my computer I have two network adapters like you can see https://i.imgur.com/4mLhHey.png. The one that I have been having an issue with is the network adapter "intel(r) dual band wireless-n 7620". Whenever I seem to do anything even remotely internet intensive it "nopes" out so quickly that my head spins. I've opened event viewer and https://i.imgur.com/VLTH9nZ.png is the first event I'll get, followed by https://i.imgur.com/koXvpoL.png and then a bunch of spam of network resets.

Now, for diagnostics I have attempted:

Disabling other network adapters does not fix the problem.

I have tried turning off the check box for "Allow the computer to save power by turning off this device."

I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling the network adapter, and that worked for a solid day. When I try to uninstall the network adapter now, however, it shows it being deleted; however, when I scan for hardware changes it appears to have reinstalled itself. I have no idea how I managed to uninstall it in the first place, but I cannot replicate it.

I have tried using an ethernet cord and even that does not work, as I will still get disconnected from the internet seemingly at random.

I have tried turning off the "green ethernet" in the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller and that does nothing.

Attempting a network reset fixes it for 4-5 hours and then it goes back to being stupid.

I downloaded the WiFi_20 . 80 . 0_Driver64_Win10 . zip (remove spaces, I couldn't put it in because of the auto-hyperlink thing). I then ran both dpinst64 and iprodifix. The problem persists.

I have had the problem for nearly a month now and I can pin it to one certain event: https://i.imgur.com/NVgt3ds.png . Now, I have absolutely no idea what the is/was, but ever since this happened my internet has been playing Russian Roulette with itself. It will not let me roll back the network adapter. Uninstalling the network adapter apparently does not keep it from automatically updating to the flawed latest version.

Please help soon, thank you.

Unable to reinstall Intel(R) Wireless-N 7260 on my Dell

I stupidly uninstalled the network adapter (Intel(R) Wireless-N 7260) on my Dell to try to fix wifi connectivity issues and now I cannot reinstall it. I have tried several times to reinstall and I don't know what to do anymore. I downloaded Network Adapter from here, https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28143/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-and-Drivers-for-Windo... , onto an external hard drive and then tried to reinstall it on my PC. At first it appeared under the "Network Adapters," but an error code 10 appeared, then after restarting my computer Wireless-N 7260 disappeared. Can anyone help me?

Windows 10 Mobile Hotspot not working

I have a Windows 10 laptop with an Intel AC 8265 WiFi card.  I have loaded the latest driver (Ver 20.70.0.5).

When I enable the Windows 10 Mobile Hotspot feature, it shows 0 of 8 connections.  I can connect to my laptop from both my iPhone and iPAD, but in both cases the connection hangs with a "No Internet" status.  In addition, the laptop does not show any connections to the hotspot.

Issues with Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® for Windows 8.1 Version: 20.60.0 (previous drivers are fine)

Hello,

Decided to write here after my 3rd and failed attempt to use these updated Bluetooth drivers (v20.60.0).

In short: I do own SONY VAIO (Win 8.1 x64, fully up to date, with Intel AC7260 WiFI/Bluetooth card fitted) laptop with which I have to use MS Foldable Keyboard (connected via Bluetooth) as the fitted one failed at some stage last year.

Up until mid-2018, so until version 20.60.0 of Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® was introduced and released, everything worked fine. The moment new drivers are installed, and without any issues either, I experience connectivity problems, where laptop / OS loses the sight of the keyboard - especially when it was left unused for some time - resulting in no response, lags exceeding minute, simply making the work next to impossible. Very annoying!

Reverting the drivers back to the penultimate version (19.60.0 - quite hard to find! Luckily still had the installation files) resolves the situation immediately - and I have done this thrice in the last 5 months, thinking that the issue might be somewhere else (keyboard low batteries etc.) and always with the same consistent result: newest drivers do not provide or maintain stable connection, older drivers do.

(I am typing using this very laptop & keyboard as we speak)

The above clearly points out to some issue with these latest drivers - so worth looking at it. In the meantime I will continue to use older drivers.

Intel WiFi Link 4695AGN not working (SOLVED)

Computer: Sony Vaio VGN-CR410E

Wireless adapter: Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4695AGN

Driver version: 12.4.1.4 (latest)

OS: Windows 7 SP1

Problem: Wireless adapter is not detecting any networks

Description:

Since the 4695AGN adapter stopped detecting networks, I bought another new one. I installed the new 4695AGN adapter, but it still won't detect any networks. Both adapters were showing as working properly in device manager. My laptop's physical wireless switch is on. Another thing is that the Intel MyWiFi Utility doesn't recognize the adapter (See picture below)

http://s14.postimage.org/vug2bel69/Untitled.png

I checked Manage > Service > Wired  Autoconfig & WLAN Autoconfig and set them both to Automatic.

I ran the Diagnostic test and the results showed that the hardware radio is off, however, my wireless physical switch is on (See picture below)

http://s17.postimage.org/crh0q8d7z/Untitled.png

There seems to be no FN+F key combinations for turning on the WiFi radio on Vaio laptops (See link below)

http://en.kioskea.net/faq/294-wi-fi-wireless-configuration-for-your-laptop

I have been struggling with this for a couple months. The temporary solution is I am using a USB wireless adapter. If anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated.

Does Intel Wireless AC 9260 support AP-mode?

I'm going to build a Linux Server acting as WiFi Access Point too.

So I need a WiFi adapter that can run with AP-Mode (just as Ad-hoc or master mode).

Is anything known about the features of the proposed Linux driver (iwlwifi) or does Intel provide an own Linux driver?

Issue with AC-7260

I have been experiencing issues the network adapter for about a week now, this is the issue: Connection stops, if I check my available connections only the network Im connected to at the moment appears, all the other ones disappear. In addition, my computer randomly begins to freeze once or twice (this usually occurs just as I lose connection. If I wait a couple seconds, it goes from showing the connected icon to the warning icon(connected to the network, yet not connected to the internet). If I go to the settings and restart the wifi, it turns off and randomly turns itself back and no connections appear at all. The only way to fix this momentarily is to go the adapter settings, disable the device, enable it again and it works for another 30 minutes to an hour for this to occur again.

I have reformatted my computer and installed new drivers for the adapter, yet this issue prevails. Any idea what could be causing this?

Intel AC 9560 code 10 - tried every solution

Good day,

I bought an Asus ROG GL503 last June 10, 2018. The device was running smoothly until last 2 nights ago. I seriously tried everything after browsing related threads here. I uninstalled/reinstalled the driver, I tried to reset everything, reset bios by pressing f9 "load optimized settings" in startup. I really don't know what to do right now. Anyone have a different solution that would help me in my frustrating situation?

Thanks a lot.

EDIT: I noticed this issue happened when I connected my PS4 controller (dual shock 4) to my laptop via bluetooth, after playing some Tekken 7. I noticed my wireless adapter is not working and having the code 10 error.

Yellow triangel after sleep resume on 20.90.0 driver

I am on latest Windows 10 1809 with latest Intel wifi drivers 20.90.0 with an Intel 9260 card on 5GHz. It happened now a few times, after modern standy sleep wakeup, that the Wifi symbol had a yellow triangle and no network connection was working, even it was connected it showed. Restarting the wifi devices fixed this.

Why is Intel still not competent to fix their Wifi drivers? I saw a lot of changes in the past 20.80.0 and 20.90.0 drivers against problems like this, but it isnt fixed 100% it seems.

Wireless AC 7260 constantly dropping connectivity.

Hello all...

So I've always had an issue of my wireless card dropping coverage, it's been an ongoing issue of terrible service from Cox and the card itself being flawed, which is why I assume it's been discontinued.

Anyways.

The card will just randomly drop connection and stop showing open connections in the area until I disable and re-enable the device.

I have a Lenovo Y50-70 (No Touch) Laptop with windows 10 v1803, Intel Wireless AC 7260 with driver v18.12.0.3.

I read that there is a fix with rolling back to an older version of the driver but I'm not sure if that works for Win 1803 and I am at the rolled back version already with the rollback driver option greyed out.

I've re-configured the router and modem and no other signals in the area are interfering and I'm well within the coverage range for the device and I know it's not the router because I'll check my phone's connection when it happens and there's no issues with the internet on my phone.

Please help.

Toshiba Satellite with Intel Centrino Wireless-N2230 network adapter having DNS issues

$

A couple days ago my Toshiba Satellite P75 started having issues connecting to the internet. Troubleshooting returned the DNS server is not responding message, though my phone and my GF's MAC are able to connect just fine.

I tried all the suggestions on this site: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2779064/your-computer-appears-to-be-correctly-configured-but-the-device-or-res

They didn't help, and in particular, when I got to the /release and /renew parts of the ipconfig steps, the command prompt returned messages about LAN, Bluetooth, WIFI, and ethernet all having their "media" disconnected, and therefore no operation was able to be performed on them.

I also followed the instructions here, regarding the use of Google's public DNS:

https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using

However, switching to Google's DNS did not help either.

Any help is really appreciated, and I would be happy to provide any more details if needed!

TLDR: DNS Server is not responding, common MS and GoogleDNS solutions did not work.

Wireless 3168NGW installed but can't connect to any networks

I recently got an MSI MS-B905c wifi bluetooth combo 1x pcie card. This wifi card contains a mini pcie wireless 3168NGW. I installed it in an older windows 7 32bit retro pc and was successful in installing the correct drivers for wifi and bluetooth. The bluetooth works perfectly fine but the wifi end has issues. Device manager identifies the card correctly. The issue I'm having is its able to pick up the networks around me but I'm not able to connect to them. When i try to connect to my network I get the password prompt I enter the correct password and then after a couple of seconds I get the message that windows cannot connect to my network. I have installed

Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi and drivers 20.70.0 and have also downgraded to 20.60.0 as well. I even tried using intel's own wifi manager to connect to the network but for some reason inter wireless manager reports no wifi networks. I ran the manual diagnostics and it fails at the scan test, but the windows network program is able to see the networks. I even selected the option in intels wireless manager to allow windows to manage wifi networks but that didn't work. I even disabled and then enabled the card again to see if that does anything with no luck. Contacting msi didn't help as they apparently don't have support anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

WMM 802.11e on Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260

Hello.

I capture traffic with Microsoft Network Monitor 3.4 and get a strange behavior with an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 card (WMM certified, driver 19.10.13.1), connected to a Cisco Access point (2702I) with QoS enable.

IP packet are well tagged on both direction (up and downstream) as DSCP 46 for voice traffic by the application, but:

- in downstream, Qos Control Priority (UP) is set to 6 (AC_VO voice) by the access point: this is a correct comportement

- in upstream, no mark of any : this is the purpose of my question

Does the wireless card able to set the WMM UP field? Is anybody have more information about this?

last update of Netwbw02.sys causes blue screen

My laptop is a Lenovo Yoga with Intel Proset Wireless card AC-7260, on windows 8.1

The last update of the driver (file Netwbw02.sys), installed automatically on my computer approximately last week (mid or end of october, or beginning of november 2018) causes blue screen.

Absolutely no other change was made on my computer (no new software installed, no other update of any software).

I want to precise that I have no antivirus (except the default antivirus windows defender) and I do not want to change this antivirus or anything else of my other software.

I restored my computer system just before this update, and the problem was resolved.

But since the automatically driver update installing cannot be switched off, the problem comes back each time the update is automatically made.

So that I am forced to restore my computer everyday since this last update !

This is absolutely not the first time that drivers, or driver update, of intel Proset wireless, lead to blue screens, on different versions of Windows, and with many versions of other software (antivirus, or other).

I do not want to change anything else of my software (antivirus, or other).

Please come back to a previous version of the driver (for example the one of august 2018), which worked very well without problem (it seems that, this GOOD previous version was the 18.33.6.2 of file Netwbw02.sys, and I assume there are also associated files).

And why does the intel wireless setup software (C:\Intel\wireless\Setup.exe), when launched, does only install update, and why is there no option allowing to switch off the automatically update of the drivers, or allowing to choose to fix at a previous version of the driver ?

Thank you.

Hi,

This day, it was impossible for me to connect to an open wifi. The network is simply not visible in the list of nearby wifi networks, not visible in scan wifi software

No problem to see others, no problem to connect to my usual networks.

The invisible network, was visible and is accessible from Android smartphones and tablets, or other PC. But not visible from 2 PC with intel card AC7265 and second AC7260.

PC are up to date with windows 7 update (64bits); drivers 19.10.9.2

The wifi router is Dlink DIR-635

Slow wireless speeds with Intel 8265 ac card under windows 10

We have 2 Dell laptops (Latitude 7490 & 5580). Both have the Intel 8265 ac wireless card installed. Both are running windows 10.

Both have been experiencing extremely slow wireless download speeds. By slow I mean less than 1mb down. Upload speeds appear to be fine. This problem occurs on any wireless network (users homes, our work, Starbucks, etc.).

Changing the MTU from 1500 to 1400 on the card worked for about a week, Now their speeds are slow yet again.

Wired internet works fine.

Dell replaced one of the wireless cards and the speeds are still slow.slow.

Both are using the latest Intel drivers.

Laptop, clean Windows install (1809 17763.107).

Driver for Intel Wireless LAN Driver 20.80.0.0u installed (Netwtw08.sys)

Mobo Intel Coffee Lake Revision 07 with i7-8750H CPU

Whilst performing speedtests I noticed that WiFi connection is being disrupted and a reset takes place, i.e. no Internet connection for a short while.

Windows EventID 1014 10400 5005 5002 5000 6062 show up in the Event Viewer.

I can only but assume that high speeds are causing the issues. Wireless download speeds of about 480-510Mbps

(upload speed being roughly half the download speed).

Normal use, browsing, occasional downloads, etc., they don't results in any errors.

(Obviously, wired is fine, steady 500/500 over fiber)

Just reporting only.

As said, under normal circumstances things are okay.
