WiGig Tri-Band Wireless-AC 18265

I have 3 questions to the Intel Tri-Band Wireless-AC 18265:

1. Should it work with 8th Generation I7 CPUs?

2. Should it work with the Gigabit Antenna-M 10041R?

3. What is the difference between the Gigabit Antenna-M 10041R and the Gigabit Antenna-M 10101R?

Thanks

Tom

Wireless driver spamming Windows Event Log

$

This is for a Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 chip on a Lenovo P50. The driver for the wireless chip keeps posting this to the Application Event Log every 9-11 seconds:

Source: Netwtw06

Event ID: 7023

Level: Information

Content: 7077 - Intel proprietary

It's cluttering my event log and making it difficult to find anything useful.

I have the latest version of the driver (20.30.1).

Is there any way to turn off this event logging? Or can it be removed in the next version?

Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 Bluetooth not working

Hi

My wireless and bluetooth have been working great until this afternoon when I tried to connect my wireless keyboard. It connected initially but then the connection dropped out. When I checked the Windows Notifications the bluetooth icon had disappeared. I checked the bluetooth in Settings by trying to connect a new device and it says the bluetooth is not on.

I've checked Device Manager and according the properties the Bluetooth device is working properly but it is causing Device Manager to refresh every couple of seconds. This stops when I disable bluetooth.

I have run the Intel Driver & Support Assistant and have the latest drivers installed.

I'm running Windows 10

Any help is appreciated.

I have tried messing around with the adapter settings, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, I've downloaded the WLAN Optimizer to turn streaming mode on to stop scans for other networks and I've also tried the ScanWhenAssociated method in the registry. If anyone knows anything I can do I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

How to check if antenna 2 is working with the 7265 Wireless adapter ?

When using my notebook at home, my WLAN connection suffers from interference between the Wifi and Bluetooth signals. If the Bluetooth module is enabled, my notebook hardly detects the WIFI signal while all other mobile devices (4 smartphones, 2 tablets) detect the Wifi signal without any trouble. If the Bluetooth module of my notebook is disabled, the Wifi connection works fine. Conversely, when using my notebook at university, the Wifi connection works fine even with the Bluetooth module enabled.

My notebook is a Asus Zenbook UX330UA-FC006T which comes with the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 adapter. It is running Windows 10 (64 bits). I tried the most recent driver (v19.51.11.2) without any improvement. I have currently reversed to the previous version (v19.50.1.6) but I the same issue remains.

My router does not support the 5 Ghz band. I understand there may be interference between Wifi connection and Bluetooth because they are both using the 2.4 Ghz band. The university’s WLAN network may support the 5 Ghz band which would explain why my Wifi connection works fine there.

I would like to re-enable the Bluetooth without killing my Wifi connection again.

I understand from another post that the Wireless adapter uses the following antenna configuration :

Antenna 1: WiFi + Bluetooth

Antenna 2: Wifi

I suspect my notebook has only one antenna or antenna 2 does not work.

How can I check if antenna 2 works ?

Code 10 on Intel Wireless Ac 9560

Got an Acer Nitro 5 a few days ago. Worked perfectly fine that night. Next day wifi would occasionally cut out. Today the wireless adapter will only give me a code 10 error, indicating a driver/hardware failure. Tried all solutions I could find as far as the drivers go with no luck. I think the adapter may have come loose inside the laptop. I want to make sure I'm not missing some "duh" solution before I open this up, or if I'm better of taking it to a shop to have a guy do it for me.

Intel AC 7260 Ping Spikes in League of Legends and other games

$

Good evening everyone !

My girlfriend has an old defiance 2 with the wi fi adapter Inter AC 7260 and lately she started having awful lag spikes in online games like League of Legends. We both tried same wi fi network to make sure it wasn't the network itself being problematic but I get about 50-70 ms and she goes as high as 500 even for minutes at a time.

I tried reinstalling the windows and it worked for a few days. Then I tried unistalling and reinstalling the latest drivers. It didn't work at all.

I even tried this fix I found on a forum :
"- 802.11n channel Width for 2.4Ghz conenctions to 20mhz ONLY (Defualt is Auto)

- Prefered Band 2.4Ghz (Defualt is Auto)

- Roaming Agressiveness 1. Lowest (Defualt is 3. Medium)

- Wireless mode 802.11b/g (Defualt is 802.11a/b/g)" but it didn't work at all. Sometimes she gets spikes for about 5 seconds with the highest being 399 ms and then it gets back to 60-70. But this is still awful because a second in a team game can make the difference between win and loss.

The laptop also has a GTX 970M, intel I7 4710 HQ, 16 gb ram, CLEVO P65_P67SE (socket 0) motherboard.

Any ideas for a fix ?

Worth mentioning is that we tried 3 different wi fi networks with the same result.

How can I find out what network driver I should have?

I just replaced a router and my backup PC running on Win 7 can not connect to the internet.  I have tried all suggested solutions I found on the net, have been on tech chat a few times, all to no avail.

All other devices I have were detected by the new router, including the one not connecting.  I have had many problems with Win 7 updates, some never installed no matter what I did.  Also, could never get Win 10 to download.

On Device Manager, the "Other Devices" is not listed.  The network driver I have is a 10.0.6.0 vers. 2 Gigabit from 2009.

Would an external network adapter work?

Wifi issue with AC 7260

Hi all, I was hoping I might find a solution other than buying a new wireless adapter. I am currently unable to detect a wireless signal, and the wifi LED is off- however, the Bluetooth works fine.

I'm running Windows 10 64 bit, and I have a MSI Z170A Gaming Pro motherboard. Both are up to date.

I'm not terribly computer savvy, but I've tried the following without success:

  • I have uninstalled, restarted my pc, and installed the current driver. (20.50.0)
  • I have uninstalled the current driver and tried a couple older versions to no avail.
  • I can see the adapter in Device Manager, and when I try to troubleshoot through Windows I receive a  " This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1) Driver is not intended for this platform." message.
  • I have removed the card itself from the PCI slot and into another slot. Nothing changed.
  • In the Event Viewer, there is a message saying "The device could not be migrated."

I cannot tell if anything truly triggered this or not: I simply booted my pc up a couple weeks ago and wasn't able to connect.

Thanks,
-Kayla.

Hello INTEL,

I admired the new feature of 9260NGW very much.

Since the brief of 9260NGW mentioned the supported OS are Win 10 and Google Chrome OS, I would like to know where I can get  the 9260NGW driver for Chrome OS.

Thank you very much.

AC8265 not showing in device manager

Lenovo e570 20H5009MUS supposed to have AC8265.

Was Windows 7 upgraded or restored to Windows 10 - original Lenovo software was wiped off.

No wireless adapter showing in device manager - "show hidden devices" is on.

Bluetooth is showing there - AC8265 handles both?

There is no physical wifi radio switch. Installed Lenovo service center and hotkey software. Function key shows only bluetooth on/off. Lenovo's troubleshootier also doesn't see the wireless, nor does Windows network troubleshooter. Took a quick look under laptop, the adapter is present.

In BIOS, it was enabled; we disabled it then re-enabled it, it didn't help.

What troubleshooting can we try before invoking warranty support ?

question for Intel MU-MIMO setting for AC-8265

Hello all,

it seems my laptop with Intel AC-8265 doesn't support MU-MIMO.

I'm using ASUS-RT88U as gateway, and it proves it works with Samsung S7 for MU-MIMO. but when connecting AC-8265 ( install on my DELL laptop) with Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software version = 20.10.2

  • Driver version = 19.10.10.2 for Windows 7 for 18265, 8265, 3168, 18260, 8260, 17265 and 3165.

During the capture packets, it shows Sounding and MU request send to AC-8265, but still get SU feedback.

please help to check how to enable the MU-MIMO for AC-8265

Thanks

This is regarding wireless connection.  Worked okay before new router.

Issue: Yellow triangle shows for internet connection, says no internet access, no available networks show.

There is no wireless driver listed in device manager.  The only network driver listed is an Intel 2gigabit 10.0.6.0 from 2009.

Could not do a print out of the system as the printer for that PC is currently down.

Intel Wireless AC 8265 disappears from Device Manager after reboot

$

Hi

I'm having a rather odd problem with the 8265 Wireless card, on an Asus N580VD. The wireless card is available immediately after reboot, but after a few minutes, it disappears from device manager, never to be seen again until the next reboot, with the consequent loss in wireless connectivity.

The event viewer has the following information on the issue:

Origin: Netwtw06

Description: Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 : The network adapter has returned an invalid value to the driver.

Description: 5035 - Driver OSC Pending OID watchdog

Description: Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 : Has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly.

This goes on and on several hundred times. I have to reboot to see the wireless card again, but then this whole thing starts over.

The laptop itself doesn't seem to be the culprit, as I have other 2 Asus N580VD laptops with the exact same software configurations among them and only one of them displays the issue.

I have already done the following:

  1. Formatted the laptop with a clean installation of windows 10 1803; - error persists
  2. Uninstalled driver and replaced with both windows standard driver and Intel IT driver 20.50.0 - error persists
  3. Disabled power management to wireless card - error persists
  4. Tested all bios versions from Asus website (302, 305, 315); - error persists
  5. Checked that the wireless card is properly attached (physically) to the motherboard; - error persists;
  6. read most, if not all, articles on Intel forum about similar issues, tested all presented solutions (some of them described adove) - error persists

The issue started happening after the latest Windows 10 update 1803, but that may have been a coincidence, because I have the other 2 laptops with the same Windows 10 version 1803 and they're working fine.

Is it possible that the card is faulty in some way? Bluetooth is working just fine, and I understand is the same device that provides both functionalities, right?

I'm at a loss... please help!

Bluetooth missing on 7260 Wireless-N

I have been working on two HP ProDesk 400 G3 Mini computers. I happened to look at Device Manager and noticed that no Bluetooth showed although the Intel 7260-N supposedly has Bluetooth. I upgraded them to the latest BIOS and installed the latest Bluetooth driver for them from the HP site, but still nothing shows up. I checked BIOS and Bluetooth seems to be enabled there. Any ideas?

Intel AC 8265 slow download after sleep

After the computer has been in sleep mode for a longer time and comes back up, the wifi download speed is less than 20mbit. If I simply disable and then enable the card it comes back to full speed.

The computer is a brand new Lenovo 720s and I need to know if I must return it - could it be a hardware defect? Both BIOS and drivers are up to date.
