Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 difficulties connecting

$

I have Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165. Windows 10 pro. I've tried every solution so far; resetting, updating, downgrading driver, delete, changing parameters etc. but nothing helps. The thing is when my HP notebook wakes after sleep it takes time to find my wireless network. It takes everything from 10 seconds to a couple of minutes and sometimes not at all. Or it finds it but stays in connection mode. The problem comes and goes and has been a problem for the last 6-8 months. I can reset the network and I got no problem for 2-10 days and then it starts over again with not connecting with no reason so far I can see. I get the warning: 6105 - deauth after EAPOL key exchange sequence.

Intel Bluetooth Driver Code 19 (incomplete or damaged registry entries)

I've just updated to Windows 1709 (Creator Edition Fall Update) and installed latest BT drivers (BT_20.0.0_64_Win10) for AC7260 wireless.

It works fine for a few shutdown/reboot or hibernate/resume cycles but soon the Device is shown in Device Manager with the dread yellow exclamation mark, and display of properties reports:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Strangely the driver version is displayed as 19.41.0.1 ???

If I uninstall the driver and reinstall (Scan for Hardware Changes or reboot), then it will work again for a while.

Any suggestions as to how this problem can be circumvented?

Thanks

Dave

Since the Intel Wireless-N 7260 is faulty since a long time ago, the driver updates did not fix the issues. I want to replace it but I don't know which is compatible.

I have an Acer Aspire v7-582p-54204g52tkk, May I have a list of mini PCI-e wireless cards that is compatible and works well? Considering range and speed. Thanks.

Intel Centrino Wifi N130 single band not working

Hi I have a Medion laptop

It came with win 7 and option to upgrade to win8 which as you know was a failure then 8.1 still a failure and finally upgraded to win 10 pro

Everything was working Ok apart from some sound issues with Conexant and dolby audio

Anyway In the last month my wif stopped working

So I tried the toubleshooter which tells me my wifi is off switch it on

Which I have tried using the wifi butoon and clicking on the icon which only shows me manual connect and this doesnt switch it on

The drivers say the device is working in device mangaer no issues but there clearly is the LEd is showing the wifi is on but its not

So After trying various drivers still no joy I decided it must be the Wif card so I have purchased a replacement wifi card the exact same model and just installing still the problem persists and the person I have purchased the wifi card from as assured me its fully working as it was tested before being sent.

The problem is either the Intel Wifi driver or a Win 10 recent update

could anyone give me some advice please or recommend a relacement upggraded card that would work such as a dual band card But I have read some manufacturers limit certain laptops to certain wif cards

any help appreciated as Its a pain without wiif

I've reloaded windows 10 on my Inspiron laptop three times and deleted my drivers and reloaded them directly from Intel four differant times but I still can't get my wireless card out of airplane mode. I've visited numerous sites and performed all the tests and procedures even resetting my network but something takes over and kicks it back into airplane mode each time. Any suggestions?

Hello I have a Dell XPS 13 9850 that uses your intel Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260. i always had problem with a stable connection in general and I use to have always the latest update form your website (not from Dell). I have the latest release of December available but still one of the major problems is that i have a 400 MBit/s connection and the network card with the latest update can reach maximum 250 Mbit/s (before the update 170/200)

http://www.computerbild.de/artikel/cb-News-400-MBit-s-Guenstiges-Highspeed-Internet-15308103.html

I have fritz!box 6490 that works perfectly fine with all my other computers at home with the connection set to a/b/g and not to n.

So why this wireless adapter is so bad?

how can i solve my problem?

the adapter with battery or plugged in is already set in the power section to have the maximum performances and not to save battery or eco or to go to sleep or something like that and has already all the right parameters configured as per your suggestions but it's one year that i have my computer for work, being at 3 cm from my router, with always the slowest connection ever not stable at all.

Could you please solve my problem?

I've been getting a lot of errors lately after updating my driver to the latest version. I've tried reinstalling it but the errors still persist

I'm getting warnings on Event Viewer like:

The network interface "Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260" has begun resetting.  There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets.

Reason: The network driver requested that it be reset.

This network interface has reset 1 time(s) since it was last initialized.

WLAN Extensibility Module has stopped.

Module Path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\IWMSSvc.dll

And errors like:

Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 : Has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly.

which went on and on until I reinstalled the driver

Windows 7 AC 7260 will not connect to AC 8260 on Linux Kernel 4.1 configured as Access Point

Hi,

Here's my configuration:

  1. AC-8260 WiFi module running on Linux Kernel 4.1 as Access Point.
  2. Windows 7 OS with AC-7260 WiFi Module as client.
  3. Windows 10 OS with AC-7260 WiFi Module as client.

Problem:

  • #3 connects to #1 if using the latest driver version 18.33.11.2 date: 10/31/2017. This is good. It doesn't work if using the previous version of the driver 18.33.9.3 date: 10/1/2017, but thats OK since latest driver works. But it does tell me that something changed for good in the latest driver that helps with the connectivity.
  • Here is the main problem: #2 above cannot connect to #1 even with the latest driver version 18.33.11.2. Tried several other previous drivers but they wouldn't work either. hostapd on linux reports the following errors:
    • Dec 19 02:50:27 .....daemon.notice hostapd: wlan0: STA <mac addr> IEEE 802.11: did not acknowledge authentication response.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all,

it seems my laptop with Intel AC-8265 doesn't support MU-MIMO.

I'm using ASUS-RT88U as gateway, and it proves it works with Samsung S7 for MU-MIMO. but when connecting AC-8265 ( install on my DELL laptop) with Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software version = 20.10.2

  • Driver version = 19.10.10.2 for Windows 7 for 18265, 8265, 3168, 18260, 8260, 17265 and 3165.

During the capture packets, it shows Sounding and MU request send to AC-8265, but still get SU feedback.

please help to check how to enable the MU-MIMO for AC-8265

Thanks

I already visited some solutions, like unchecking the turn off device when low battery/power saving, and applied it, but the problem still persists.

Driver Details: Intel(R) Centrino(R) Ultimate-N 6300 AGN

Provider: Intel

Date: 4/30/2015

Version: 15.18.0.1

Signer: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher

I even tried to update the drivers, but the problem's still there.

I tried uninstalling any programs that may interfere with the device.

I observed that as the adapter disables, it gives out either of the three error codes: 10, 31, and 45.

In event viewer, errors with event ID 441 appear quite often.

Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 : Has encountered a conflict in resources and could not load.

Hi. My Lenovo has been experiencing wifi connectivity issues for two years already. It is just keeps dropping from wifi. Jesus, this issue has been reported million of times, but Intel cannot fix it? Is it a hardware failure - in other words, did Intel released faulty hardware and that's why you cannot fix it? I don't use 5Ghz (802.11/ac). I'm using 802.11g (this is maximum what my home router can).

It happens randomly, a few times a day (up to 7 times a day):

This are the errors in the Even viewer:

Netwtw04 Error 5000: Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 : Has encountered a conflict in resources and could not load.

Error 5007 - TX/CMD timeout (TfdQueue hanged)

5035 - Driver OSC Pending OID watchdog

8000 - Miniport Halt flow (driver disable)

Here is my plea to Intel, please don't copy/paste your standard templates here (such as, you need to update you drivers and etc). Give me an instant solution, please.

Dual Band Wireless 7260 AC WIFI Problems in Windows 10

I upgraded the WiFi card in my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro almost a year ago to an Intel Wireless-AC 7260 7260NGW 802.11ac Dual Band NGFF Wifi Card, and it's been performing flawlessly until the last week or so.

I'm now experiencing drop-outs in wi-fi every few minutes / hours. The severity is strangely erratic: sometimes these can be be resolved by right-clicking the system tray icon and letting the troubleshooter restart the adapter, but occasionally it's as if the card's not there at all, it's not even listed in the device manager, defying refreshes and sometimes even restarts.  Eventually it will come back, only to be as unstable as before.

I have physically removed the card, cleaned the contacts and checked that it's seated correctly and removed and re-installed the drivers with no success

After searching online I found reports on this forum of other issues associated with 7260 cards and Windows 10 updates and wondered if my experiences could be linked, there have certainly been a lot of Windows updates recently.

I'll be very grateful for any suggestions / advice.

Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 Discovers But Won't Pair

This is on a Lenovo Thinkpad P70 with Windows 10 64-bit.  It is just over a year old and just out of warranty.  I have not previously used Bluetooth on this device, and would now like to attach a Bluetooth 3.0 keyboard.

In the Device Manager Bluetooth was originally hidden and the drivers said "Currently this device is not connected".  I uninstalled these, deleting the software, and installed BT_20.10.0_64_Win10.exe (Verion 20.10.0.9).  The drivers then said "This device is working properly".

It appears to work, but fails to connect to any Bluetooth devices I have tried.  It does discover the devices and show them as available.  (See the image).  They just don't pair.  The same devices pair and work fine with my Galaxy S7 phone and Microsoft Surface Book.

I also tried BT_19.71.0_64_Win10.exe (Version 19.71.0.2) with the same results.  I tried the download from the Lenovo site, which is for 19.71.0.2).  It appears to run successfully, but the drivers have light blue icons, say "Currently this device is not connected", and you have to select Show hidden to see them.  (This was how the Device Manager looked when I started.)  Thus, this Lenovo driver update doesn't seem to work.

The BIOS is the latest and Windows is up to date with Creator's Fall Edition.

The Intel drivers both appear to work, but don't pair.  I'm not sure what to do next.

Intel PROSet wireless software; 802.1x associating issues; Intel Wireless Troubleshooter/Manual Diagnostic Tool do nothing

$

Very strange behaviour..

Intel PROSet.. seemingly overnight..

a. Just stopped being to associate 802.1x/Enterprise based wireless networks.  Personal sec (PSK) is fine.  But 802.1x/enterprise networks it can't associate to.

I can default to Microsoft Windows utility and it connects fine.

b. To make matters worse in the PROSet utility, Tools -> Intel Wireless Troubleshooter and Tools -> Manual Diagnostic Tool do nothing. I can select them from the Tools menu and it does nothing.

Infact, the Intel Wireless Troubleshooter, when selected, says 'Operation Command Successfully' .. but eventuates nothing ?

So I can't even see what output/error i'm seeing why it can't connect...

Do I need to clean out PROset ? I've already done this.. with a basic uninstall..purge all profiles, etc.

Maybe a cleanup tool exists ?

Running Windows 10 Creator's Update

Can't update Intel Proset/Wireless Driver

Hi. I have an HP Spectre X360 convertible with Intel Dual Band Wireless AC-7265. I've been using the Intel Driver and Support Assistant to update drivers from time to time, though it has from time to time been finicky with updates. Most recently, the Support Assistant has indicated that there is a driver update available:

19.51.8.2

18.33.11.2

I dutifully download and install and everything seems to go smoothly - no error messages, and I reboot when prompted. But then when I check in Device Manager, it still shows the old version of the driver (i.e. 18.33.11.2). I then run Support Assistant again, and it tells me once again that an update available. Running it a second time gives the option to repair rather than install (as the installer seems to think it's already installed). It grandly announced "Success" at the end, this time with no prompt to reboot. And again, the driver is not updated.

Any suggestions on how I might be able to successfully update the driver?

Intel AC-7260

Hi,

Just an FYI for anyone interested. I have a Intel AC 7260 dual band wifi card in my laptop. Upon updating to the latest drivers I noticed that gamestream became basically unusable. Horrendous stuttering that was solely attributable to the network and not graphics or cpu.

Uninstalling the "Wifi Proset" drivers as Intel call them and allowing Windows 10 to install a much older version resulted in smooth gameplay again.

New Driver Version - 18.33.11.2

Currently installed and functioning well - 17.15.0.5

There are no other variable except for the driver version and this is reproducible. I thought it may help someone tearing their follicles out.
