wigig error 0x1010

Hi

WiGig Manger.png

What that could mean? Is there a paper with error codes and their meaning somewhere in the Internet? Any ideas why that can happen? I've already seen general recomendations from Intel as well as discussions regarding error codes 0x1014 and 0x1020. All of that doesn't apply in my case. Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Oleksandr.

intel wireless 8265 / 8275 iwlwifi not working in linux

Hello Intel.

I use a 8265 / 8275 (rev78) in my laptop huawei matebook x, and the subsystem given by lspci is "Huawei ... Device 3e02". Currently I cannot find a way to make the 8265 work. As a contingency plan, I pluged a usb wireless card, and it works fine. I hope I can get some help here.

These distros have been tried: Arch, Debian, Gentoo, Ubuntu. So the problem should not be distro related.

I've went through en:users:drivers:iwlwifi [Linux Wireless] and Kernel.org git repositories , tried firmware/linux-firmare, and iwlwifi/linux-firmware, and have iwlwifi-8265-*.ucode (21,22,27,31) in /lib/firmware. modprobe works fine, and gives no errors. lsmod shows mac80211, cfg80211, iwlwifi, iwlmvm are added to kernel. But the intel wireless 8265 is still not working.

What can I do to fix it?

Connector 1 and Connector 2 on Intel 8260NGW.

So from another thread here:

Connector 1 and 2 on AC-8265

it was mentioned that on the AC 8265, connector 1 is for wifi + BT and connector 2 is just for wifi.  Is this the same for the 8260NGW?

Lose connection on 802.1x reauth: 6105 - deauth after EAPOL key exchange sequence

Greetings,

I'm on a Dell E7470 which has the 8260 chipset. Running Windows 10 64 bit.

During the day, while connected to Cisco APs the 802.1x reauthentication will kick in and normally it connects just fine. However on the latest drivers, 19.60.0.7 a couple times each day I am experiencing a 1-4 second loss of connectivity during some of the reauths.

The windows event viewer has an entry for these events: 6105 - deauth after EAPOL key exchange sequence from Netwtw06.

SSU Scan attached. Please let me know if I can provide any more logs, as this appears to be a driver issue. Thank you!

Ive tried updating to the latest driver for 3165 but its the same result.

I have a router from my provider  Bredbandsbolaget. Its a Technicolor 799.

What can I do?

Intel Pro/wireless 2100 3b. Change regulatory domain. Windows.

Hi,

I'm looking forward to connect my old laptop (HP Pavilion zt3000) to a wireless network on channel 13. I cannot change the settings at the Access Point, so that is not an option. I'm currently using Windows 7; yet, when using a manjaro linux live cd, I can connect. I would like to know how may I change the regulatory domain of the driver to Japan in Windows, in order to get the wifi connection working.

Thank you in advance,

regards.

AC7260 crashes sporadically since Windows 10 Anniversary update

$

Hello,

Background

==========

My AC7260 wireless adapter crashes sporadically since updating to Win10 Anniversary update. At least it began to occur around that time and no other changes were made to the system. Previous to that the system was running fine for 1+ year.

Experience

=========

When the crash happens I lose wireless network connectivity. I am unable to disable/re-enable via Device Manager because it hangs. Sometimes I am unable to Restart or Shutdown Windows. When this happens either option displays the 'working' circle showing Restarting or Shutting Down indefinitely. In all cases to restore connectivity I must hard shutdown the machine using the power button.

If the crash happens and I leave the machine long enough, Bluetooth served by the AC7260 is also taken down rendering my bluetooth mouse and keyboard unresponsive.

I am able to see indicative events in the Event Viewer that state the AC7260 adapter is beginning to restart itself. These events are always logged upon failure event.

Information provided

=================

I am running a Lenovo Tiny M desktop. I have attached output from SSU, an extract of the relevant Event Viewer entries and screen shots of the driver versions.

I have tried

=========

1- Rolling back drivers one version at a time, opting to remove the device driver from the system upon rollback. Leaving the system on each driver version for a few days to observe. In all cases the crash reproduces itself excep..

2- ... when rolling back all the way to 22-Feb-2015 (17.15.0.5) which worked for a few months but recently the issue reoccured.

3- I tried installing the latest 5-Apr-2017 (18.33.7.2) and experienced the same issue.

4- Checked the recommended settings for 802.11n connectivity.

Please help as this seems to be a driver issue given that nothing has changed on the machine (HW or SW) except for Windows version and Intel AC7260 driver versions.

Thank you,

J

Post-Windows 10 Creators Update WiFi Link 5300 AGN Blue Screen w KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

$

I have an HP EliteBook 8530w with an Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN, marked in hardward properties as residing in PCI Slot 1 (bus 3, device 0).

Almost immediately after I installed the Win 10 Creators Update, it began crashing Windows (blue screens) with the errors KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (4 of these since July 2) and DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (2 of these since July 2). I determined that the 5300 is the cause of the problem through BlueScreenView, which identifies NETwNs64.sys (marked as Intel Wireless WiFi Link Adapter, version 14.2.1.2) as the primary cause.

I see that this network adapter is no longer supported, but I also see that there are older drivers available for Win 7, Win 8, and Win 8.1

I am assuming that this crashing is due to the newer Win 10 Creators Update being changed so that the now-not-supported 5300 driver is no longer compatible. (It was working just fine under Win 10 before the CU.)

So, what is my best option (and buying a new laptop is not in that list at this time)? Should I uninstall the 5300 AGN device and drivers and then re-install it using the Win 7, Win 8, or Win 8.1 driver (which are offered on the Intel site) to run in compatibility mode in Windows? Or is there another Intel WiFi card, with fully-compatible W10 CU drivers, that I can purchase and install to replace the 5300 AGN? (I have no problems opening up my laptop, but I would need to know if such a card is in fact replaceable, i.e., not hard-wired to the motherboard.)

Intel dual band 7260AC for desktop hangs on Windows 10 creator edition with IPv6 enabled

$

I was previously running Windows 10 64-bit Anniversary edition 1607 without any problems.

I have an Intel dual band 7260AC for desktop installed with IPv4 and IPv6 enabled, driver version 18.33.6.2 from the wireless proset version 19.50.1

A few days ago, I installed the update to the new Windows 10 Creator edition 1703 and ALL applications, including console programs like 'nslookup' and 'ping', using the wirless network started to become 'not responding' after a few minutes or less.

Once an application 'hung', it could not be terminated from task manager, giving an 'access denied' error when attempting and 'end task'.

If I disabled the Intel 7260AC adapter and using a wired Broadcom ethernet connection, everything worked normally again.

After disabling IPv6 on the Intel 7260AC, the wireless network ALSO worked again without hanging.

Looking at the symptoms, it seems there is a problem with the 18.33.6.2 driver on Windows 10 Creator edition, where an application gets 'hung' inside the system call to the driver, because they can't be terminated anymore.

I didn't see any newer drivers available and was wondering if other people have encountered similar problems or are using a 7260AC adapter with IPv6 enabled normally?

Adri.

Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 drops into limited connection

WIn 8.1

AC 7260

I have tried many driver changes from 16.1.5.2 up through 18.33.72 with no resolve.

Wifi connects and runs as normal until suddenly, for no apparent reason it drops to a LIMITED CONNECTION only. Other devices maintain connection, LAN remains active, Bluetooth remains active, only Internet connectivity is affected.

To repair I must Disable the AC7260 wireless and then re-enable which ten once again gives me Internet and a proper connection. This has been happenning for weeks now in spite of driver changes, updates, rollbacks and EVEN a FULL Windows reinstall. Power options have been set NOT to allow AC7260 to be powered down.

HELP! I am at my wits end.

Intel 8265 ac constant high latency jitter

$

0

I have a new laptop with an intel 8265ac wifi card in it. The card connects fine, downloads fine, etc, but there is very high latency issues. In general, every few seconds, the card's latency just spikes.

Even running a ping command to my wireless modem often shows pings north of 100ms, just to the modem.

There are two other devices in my house that use intel wifi cards. One is an intel 7260ac card and one is an intel 8260ac card. Both connect to the same network without any problems or ping spikes in that manner; only this new 8265ac wifi card does.

I can access my full, consistent download. I can watch streaming sites like twitch.tv just fine, and I can watch video playback sites like Youtube just fine. I simply notice some issues with voice chat via programs like Teamspeak 3 or Discord, and I am unable to play reaction-based online multiplayer games as a result of the constant spikes.

The OS is windows 8.1 Pro x64.

The power plan is "High Performance", and "prefer maximum performance" is selected.

WLAN Optimizer has been used (as it fixed intermittent spikes on both the 7260ac and 8260ac in the past) but seems to have zero effect on the 8265ac. The card also does not seem to spike ping when I manually search for networks, unlike the 7260ac/8260ac. It makes me feel that for some reason it is constantly searching no matter what I want, and is giving me bad performance as a result.

Note that the roaming aggressiveness of the card is left at the default "3. Medium", if that makes any difference.

Any more information that can be provided by me I shall be happy to provide; simply ask for it. If I just have a bad card, then so be it. But I really hope it isn't the case.

How can I determine the class of Intel bluetooth products?

$

0

I want to purchase bluetooth products that require my PC to have class 1 bluetooth capabilities (see attached image from wikipedia page Bluetooth - Wikipedia)

btclass.png

I have spent more then a week googling and looking through spec sheets etc but I cannot find any information on device class in the released specs from Intel nor can I find the required information anywhere else online. Can someone from Intel instruct me as to how I find out this important information regarding Intel manufactured devices? I have several PCs all with different Intel manufactured bluetooth devices and would like to know this class information for each one.

Any information provided will be very gratefully received as I am just about pulling my hair out at this point.

Thanks

As the title suggests I'm looking for a way to change the preferred network order programmatically, via a script, reg key or direct file manipulation. Does anyone know if this is possible and how it might be done? For reference my primary clients will be Windows7, but interested for Vista and XP also if the process is different. Thanks in advance.

Intel Dual Band AC 7260 Random Disconnect and Driver Disappear

$

Hello,

I have seen a couple other threads describing similar problems, but none with a resolution that works for me.  Similar threads:  Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Random Disconnects/Uninstalls , Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Disconnects/Driver Missing

I am running Windows 10 on a desktop and the Dual Band AC 7260 has been working fine for years.  Several months ago the following problem started although I am not sure of any software or hardware changes that specifically led to the problem.  I used to be able to run days between disconnects, but the frequency has increased and now the WIFI won't stay connected for more than an hour.

Problem description:

  • Randomly the card will disconnect from WIFI
  • Device Manager shows the driver is missing for the device once this occurs.  Prior to the problem Device Manager shows the device is working properly.
  • The tray icon shows that the WIFI is still active and even connected to my home network.  But no other networks are shown and the Wifi status shows "connected but no internet"
  • Once the adapter is in this state, I am no longer able to enable/disable the network adapter (it seems it is hung)
  • The only way to resolve the problem is a reboot, which will crash with DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.
  • I have checked the System Event logs, but nothing from the AC 7260

I have tried the following steps discussed in other threads but nothing has had an impact:

  • Disabled all applications that automatically start up
  • Removed and reinstalled the latest Intel PROSet Wireless driver and Intel Wireless Bluetooth driver
  • Disabled Ethernet and Bluetooth since I am only using WIFI on this desktop
  • Under Device Manager changed the following setting for the Wireless Adapter:  "Power Management" tab and toggle Off the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" - seems laptop specific but it was mentioned in several threads.

Attached is the output from the Intel System Support utility that contains all the details on my system and confirms the latest drivers.

At this point I have run out of things to try.  Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

Intel AC 8265: Booting from Linux to Windows results in non-functional Bluetooth

$

0

When booting Linux, the Linux drivers upload firmware build 103 to the Bluetooth part of my Intel AC 8265 wireless adapter. Build 103 seems to be the latest one available to Linux users:

https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/commit/?id=1dcf7691f623c24762976e2debe05248d627e814

Then, when rebooting the into Windows, the Windows driver doesn't work. In the device manager, the Intel Bluetooth device is marked with a yellow triangle and STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE is shown as an error message when checking the properties of the device.

When booting to Windows first, a subsequent reboot to Linux reports that the firmware of the Bluetooth adapter is build 107. My best guess here is that the Windows driver won't accept build 103 and thus refuses to work with it. It seems like the Windows driver does not or cannot upgrade the device firmware to build 107 if build 103 has already been uploaded. Ideally it would simply reset the device and upload whatever firmware it comes with.

Is this a known issue?

How can this issue be resolved?

How is the Windows driver supposed to behave in a dual boot environment?

AC 7260 bluetooth hardware not showing

I have a Dual Band AC7560 wireless Card with Bluetooth.    Earlier this year the bluetooth stopped working.  My device manager said that the bluetooth hardware was not connected.  I was able to resolve the issue by rolling back my wireless driver to the original driver that came with the computer.  i have an HP and use the HP recovery assistant to roll the driver back.  Now, I am have the same problem again, starting a few days ago.   Bluetooth is no longer showing up on the computer and the computer tells me that I don't even have bluetooth hardware.  I tried to roll back the driver again, but this time it did not work. What can I do to get my bluetooth working again?
