Upgraded the latest driver (v 15.10.5.1) and pro-set software (16.10.0.0).  Am now having more limited connectivity issues from the wireless card that I have to use my wired connection to access the internet.  I have tried every trick that has been suggested on other forums and everything but nothing seems to be helping this situation.  Looking for support as this has been going on for a while and not getting better but worse.

Lenovo Thinkpad T440s and Intel Dual Band Wireless N 7260 - low WiFi speed

Dear All,

I've got a problem with my brand new Lenovo Thinkpad T440s and Intel Dual Band Wireless N 7260.

I run the speedtest.net on it.

Connection between my router (TP-LINK- "n" connection established) and my t440s is in amount of 144 mbits.

I've checked my t440s with speedtest.net and the highest download value  was 20 Mb/s. It seems to me like it is only b/g connection.

What should I do to receive hi speed (80mbits) connection?

All my older notebooks my WiFi works with speed of 80 Mb/s. So there is a problem with t440s :smileyhappy:

I have updated the drivers to 17.0.0 and it is a bit better - download value is amounting of 34 Mb/s, but still it's not 80 Mb/s

I've checked in Intel Dual Band Wireless N-7260 driver settings - Energy management - Permission to disabled this device due to energy save is not on.

In Power Supply Profiles I set the Maximum performance in WiFi card settings.

My router is TP LINK WR841-N (run in N mode)

Dear Intel it's funny that brand new Wireless card works slower than iPad mini Retina or my 2 old Dell computers.

Any suggestions?

Bluetooth not detected AC 7260 for Desktop (Device Descriptor Request Failed)

Hello,

I just purchased the Dual Band WIreless AC-7260 kit for desktop and have connected it on PCI-E on my Asrock Z77 Exterme4 motherboard. The WiFi started working immediately and performs great but I have not had luck getting the bluetooth module detected. I have connected the extra cable from the card to the board in the bottom row of a USB 2.0 header making sure that the empty pin is not used and have tried connecting it on the top row as well and neither are detected. I have tried installing the driver BT_3.1.1309_e64 on Windows 8.1 x64.

Under device manager the I see the message Unknown USB Device (device Descriptor Request Failed). Can anyone suggest what I could try to get bluetooth running?

Thank you

Intel AC7260 problems

Hi there, I just excitedly bought 3 AC7260 cards for all our laptops in the house cause we upgraded our router to the RT-AC66U and let me tell you I am soooooo NOT impressed with these cards. They are horrible, I cannot keep a consistent connection with my router.

Computer #1 is a Dell 7720 running windows 8 and all I keep getting is constant unable to access network page errors that only say on a chrome web page:

Error code: ERR_NETWORK_CHANGED

In my intel event viewer I get around 3 lines marked Information..... authenticating wireless profile XXXXX every minute!!!!!! This can't be right???

Computer #2 is an XPS 15 running windows 7 home and I get the same problems as computer #1 just not as many chrome ERR pages.

Computer #3 is an Alienware M18 and it consistantly drops the wireless connection too. I had a bigfoot card in there previously and NEVER had any problems with losing wireless connections.

I'm using all the latest newest drivers on all my laptops and i just can't believe how troublesome these 7260's are. Anyone else actually have a 7260 thats rock solid and if so, how did you do it?

Hi,

I've got some problems with the DualBand AC 7260 adapter in my T440p and hope that someone here is able to help:

1. Network connection repeatedly is breaking down after some time > "default gateway not found"
    >> After reseting the connection everything works fine unitl the next breakdown.
Any Ideas? Maybe related to the network mode?

2. Device Manager / AC7260 / Advanced Settings only shows following options:
    802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802,11b/g, 802.11a/g, 802.11a/b/g
    >> Shouldn't there be an "ac" option?
    >> What about 802.11n support? Is "ac" n-compatible?

System:

- Lenovo T440p, Win 7 x64

- DualBand AC 7260, Driver 16.6.0.8, HardwareID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&SUBSYS_C2708086

hi there,

i am getting really frustrated, i have a new dell inspiron with win8.1 and i have 2 major problems that are really getting me frustrated.

befor i start i will say that i tried to use dell's support and its not problem that they can help me with.

first problem is with my BT:

I am trying to use my dell to be like a speaker to my iphone. i know that on windows 7 it works even on older laptop.

I paired the iphone to my dell and it has connection, on the device setting i see that there is a service checked as enabled called "audio source service" and "handsfree audio getaway service" but still it is not working and i cant play music via BT to my dell speakers.

second problem is with my wifi:

i got wireless N7260 the drivers and proset software are fully updated. and the signal is really low. what i mean is that i have other laptops, older ones, in the same place and they are receiving signal and connection, i even get connection to wifi with my iphone but no signl on my dell. so its really frustrating when i could not connect to wifi on my room. just to know the router is 'n' type placed 15 meters from the room so its really should not make any problems. the only thing i think about is that your drivers are not compatible

please help me solve this two problems.

thanks wifi8.1

Sporadic but recurring connection dropouts on an Intel 6235 wireless adapter

$

Dear all,

I have the same issues of intermittent sudden connection dropouts as reported by others with the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 Wifi adapter and the Intel Proset 15.x drivers!

My system is a brandnew desktop computer with an Intel i7 3770 Quad-Core CPU, an Intel Z77 chipset, an Asrock Z77E-ITX mainboard, 16 GB of RAM, and Windows 7 64-bit.

Previously, I already encountered the issue with this adapter's predecessor, the Intel Centrino 6230 and only managed to resolve it by going back to an older driver version. If my memory is correct, the Intel Proset 14.x version range worked flawlessly, but the 15.x drivers lead to the dropouts (I always use 64-bit drivers).

These can occur randomly after 5 or after 50 minutes. The adapter suddenly disconnects and won't reconnect to the wireless network unless it is reset. The wireless router itself is fine as there are over a dozen devices from all types of brands that connect regularly to it without any problem at all.

The fact that the problem occurs on two different cards (6230 and 6235) leads me to believe that there is a driver problem.

On the 6235, going back to a 14.x driver does not seem to be an option on the table, because the device seems to be only supported by 15.x versions. I already tried going back from the recent 15.2 version to the previous 15.1.1 (after uninstalling through the device manager), but the problem still persists. Now I just went back to 15.1.0 and it's been ok so far, but i'm not very optimistic.

I have tried different changes in the driver settings but with no success. The problem persists!

I'd be thankful for a solution.

Best regards,

Steve

Dual Band Wireless AC 7260 - Bluetooth Headset

$

I recently upgraded my Windows 7 x64 bit Dell laptop with a Dual Band Wireless AC + Bluetooth 4.0 adapter. Network drivers are from the Intel PROSet v.16.10.0 and the Bluetooth drivers are 10/18/2013 v 3.1.1311.400. The wireless is working well (cannot connect AC to my ASUS RT-AC66R router yet, but currently monitoring a discussion here for that problem) and the Bluetooth seems to be working well, connects good and stays connected. For headphones, I use a set of LG HBS 730 stereo headphones and problem is that the Bluetooth adapter assigns it as a Bluetooth Headset (understandable, as it does have a built-in microphone as well), but it locks (grays out) the sound quality to the "1 channel, 16 bit, 16000 Hz (Tape Recorder Quality)" setting (see attached screenshot). This setting is not changeable, so I have to assume that this is set via the driver software. I have removed the device and added back a few times, and each time is defaults to the headset settings with the limited sample rate/bit depth. How do I either get the sample rate/bit depth to change to a DVD (or at least a CD) quality setting, or get the Bluetooth adapter to see the device as a Bluetooth headphone, instead of a Bluetooth Headset? Bottom line: need better sound quality for a set of stereo headphones/headset.

Hi!

Today it worked for almost 5 hours.

Then the connection was dropped and Windows 8 reported "limited" connectivity.

I use the latest drivers.

We have brand new Samsung NP700Z5C-S02UB's Series7 with the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 wireless card. We are having major issues with WiFi strength and also the connection dropping out and stuttering that is bad enough to drop downloads and uploads to servers. I have faster speeds, better range and a more secure connection with our WEBos phones and everyone knows how horrible they are. I also have better range, coverage and speed with my other HP laptop which uses a BROADCOM chipset.

Please fix this issue with the Intel chipset and WifI driver for the N6235, the laptop is completely unusable at this point for work. I will switch the company to HP with Broadcom drivers if you don't.

We are nearing the return time of the Samsung laptop and still no resolution for this major, Failtel you really bl6235 I connectionte

Wireless-AC 7260 Ad Hoc Problem

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad W540 with Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Plus Bluetooth

and the problem is I can't connect to a third party device which broadcasts ad hoc wifi network.

This ad hoc network does not share Internet connection, it is purely to connect with this device via the dedicated application.

I tested connection with other ad hoc networks and looks like Wireless-AC 7260 can only connect to ad hoc wifi networks which share Internet connection. If they do not share Internet connection then Wireless-AC 7260 does not set up IP properly via DHCP.

I tried different drivers and different operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 8). Nothing helps...
