Hi everyone,
I have a Dell Laptop running Windows 8 Pro and a Creative Headset. The laptop has Intel Wireless N-2230 as both Wireless and Bluetooth Adapter. When I try to pair the headset with the laptop, it pairs successfully and I can hear the sound normally.
However, when I restart the computer, if I turn on the Bluetooth Headset BEFORE logging in to Windows, the headset works perfectly.
But, if I turn on the Bluetooth Headset AFTER logging in to Windows, I can only use the Headset Hands-free profile with Mono audio. I cannot use the Headset Stereo, even if it is set as default. There is simply no sound from Headset Stereo. When I encounter the problem, I have 2 choices: One is to set the Headset Hands-free as default and hear mono sound, Or I have to restart the computer and turn on the headset BEFORE logging in.
Upon further investigation, I discover that, it's because I set the laptop to Connect Automatically to my Home wireless network. Therefore, if the Laptop connects to a wireless network BEFORE I turn on the bluetooth headset, the headset stereo will not work (only the mono will).
I have already contacted DELL and CREATIVE support. But after some emails between me and them, they both said that this is software/driver compatibility and ask me to try different version of Intel Wireless Bluetooth/Wifi driver. I have tried many combinations of Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 8* (version 15.6 to 16.1) and Intel® PROSet/Wireless Bluetooth Software for Windows 8* (version 2.6 to 3.0) from both Dell website and Intel website.
But the problem is still there.
Do you have any advice? Or I have to remember to connect the Bluetooth Headset BEFORE connecting to Internet?
