Why isn't there an option for 802.11n wireless mode for 7265 adapter?

I recently purchased new ThinkPad computers running Windows 7x64 with the 7265 adapter. It should have 802.11n capabilities, but I only see the following options under Wireless Mode in device manager: 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11b/g, 802.11a/g, 802.11a/b/g.  As a result I can only connect to my router using 802.11g and max transfer rates are at 54mbps.   Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

(Interesting to note, I have tried updating to the latest driver, although the latest driver on the intel site is 18.12.1 (release date 8/17/2015), but my computer shows the driver version of 18.12.1.2.)
